St. Charles County, October 29, 2024 – Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County celebrated a fantastic Halloween season with their annual Trunk or Treat events, held on two nights at the St. Charles and O'Fallon Units. These events, generously sponsored by Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council and Barnes-Jewish St. Peters and Progress West Hospitals, brought together a record-breaking 1,485 attendees for safe, family-friendly Halloween festivities, highlighting the incredible support of local businesses, volunteers, and community partners.

This year’s events provided something for everyone:

  • Creative Trunks and Treats: With 31 vendors and 29 volunteers across both locations, each trunk was a unique, Halloween-themed display—from haunted houses to superhero setups. Attendees enjoyed safe trick-or-treating while BGCSTC distributed over 700 pieces of candy, books, and prizes to the community.

  • Spooky Haunted House: The O'Fallon Unit featured a thrilling Haunted House that welcomed 335 attendees for a spine-chilling adventure, adding to the Halloween excitement.

  • Community Unity and Fun: From costume contests to games and family activities, these events brought neighbors together for two unforgettable evenings of joy, laughter, and community spirit.

“Trunk or Treat is one of our favorite events because it brings our community together in a meaningful and safe way,” said Makaley Mena-Dominguez, Community Impact & Volunteer Coordinator. “Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and generous community partners, we created a memorable Halloween experience that was both fun and safe for families.”
