The St. Charles Regional Chamber is seeking qualified candidates to serve on its Board of Directors. Serving as a Director is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth, advocacy, and leadership of the business community in St. Charles County.

Board Structure & Terms

• The Board consists of 12 Directors At Large, 5 Officers, and designated Ex-Officio (non-voting) members.

• Directors At Large serve two-year terms and may serve a maximum of three consecutive terms.

• Directors must be Investor Members of the Chamber or employed by an Investor Member organization.

Nomination Process

1. Executive Committee Serves as the Nominating Committee

   • At its September meeting, the Executive Committee reviews upcoming vacancies, reviews applications and selects nominees for the open elected director positions.

2. Candidate Confirmation

   • The Executive Committee will confirm candidates’ willingness to serve and ensure they understand the responsibilities of the role.

3. Membership Notification

   • By October 1, the slate of nominees is presented to the Chamber’s Investor Members via special mailing, website posting, or email.

4. Additional Nominations by Members

   • Additional candidates may be nominated by at least 5% of Investor Members by submitting a written nomination to the President/CEO before November 1.

5. Election

   • If no additional nominations are received by November 1, the slate is declared elected.

   • Newly elected Board members are formally voted on by Investors at the Annual Meeting and seated at the December Board meeting.

Desired Qualifications

The Nominating Committee seeks candidates who:

• Have attended Chamber meetings/events regularly for at least one year prior to nomination.

• Hold a position of authority in their business or organization.

• Are active in other non-profit, civic, cultural, or charitable organizations in St. Charles County.

• Demonstrate leadership skills, a commitment to the Chamber’s mission, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Possess other qualifications the Executive Committee deems beneficial to the Board’s work.

• Align with the Chamber's Mission, Core Statement, and Core Values.
