Interactive Workshop: The Importance of Nurturing Touch

St. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (April 28th, 2025) – The International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) and its U.S. chapter, Infant MassageUSA, invite caregivers, parents, and early childhood professionals to an Interactive Workshop on The Importance of Nurturing Touch. This free, one-hour session will explore the science and history of therapeutic touch and introduce participants to the benefits of infant massage.

Program Highlights:

  • No massage training required – theory and practice you can apply immediately

  • Overview of touch’s role in early development, emotional regulation, and bonding

  • Historical context: how nurturing touch has shaped caregiving practices across cultures

  • Preview of the IAIM’s five-week Parent Educator Program (free access for attendees)

About the Presenter
Kate Dulaney, LMT, US Navy Veteran and founder of SoundMind Massage & Wellness, has been a practicing Licensed Massage Therapy since 2017. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Kate’s mission is to empower families through mindful, holistic care that nurtures emotional, psychological, and physical well-being.

Headquartered in Sweden, with affiliates in over 70 countries, the International Association of Infant Massage promotes nurturing touch and communication through evidence-based training and research. Infant MassageUSA serves as the U.S. chapter, offering courses that foster deeper parent-infant connections.
