Local Business Leader Earns Top Honors in District Toastmasters Contest

Shaneice Miller Thomas Wins District 8 Title

in the Toastmasters International Speech Contest

ST. PETERS, MO — August 19, 2025

Shaneice Miller Thomas, a local business leader, certified coach, and keynote speaker, earned top honors at the Toastmasters International Speech Contest for District 8, which encompasses Eastern Missouri and Southwestern Illinois.

After securing the District 8 title in late April, Shaneice advanced to the Toastmasters International Speech Contest Quarterfinals, competing among the top 129 speakers from across the world. Although she did not advance to the semifinals, she expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to represent District 8 on an international stage and continue honing her skills as a communicator and leader.

Competing against some of the region’s most talented communicators, Shaneice captivated judges and audience members alike with her compelling delivery and engaging storytelling. This recognition highlights her dedication to excellence in communication and leadership.

Hosted annually, the Toastmasters International Speech Contest provides a platform for speakers to showcase their public speaking skills, inspire audiences, and compete at increasingly challenging levels. Shaneice first advanced through club, area, and division contests before securing the District 8 title.
