St. Charles Regional Chamber Celebrates Small Business Month with 2025 Small Business of the Year Awards

St. Charles, MO – March 3, 2025 – The St. Charles Regional Chamber is proud to announce its annual celebration of National Small Business Month, highlighting the vital role small businesses play in the local and national economy. For over 50 years, the Chamber has honored the contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners, culminating in the prestigious Small Business of the Year Awards.

This year’s Small Business of the Year Awards Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, May 21st, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Charles Convention Center. The event will recognize and celebrate outstanding small businesses in the region that have demonstrated excellence in six key areas: Business Growth, Management & Human Capital, Community Involvement, Marketing, Intangible Considerations, and The Why.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our community,” said Scott Tate, President / CEO of the St. Charles Regional Chamber. “We are thrilled to celebrate their achievements and recognize the hard work and dedication that drives their success.”

The selection process for the Small Business of the Year Awards is rigorous and impartial. Applications are reviewed and scored blindly by a panel of judges comprised of previous Small Business of the Year recipients. The field is narrowed down to three finalists, who will be recognized at the luncheon where the ultimate award recipient will be announced.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2025 Small Business of the Year Award. To be eligible, nominees must:

• Be a member in good standing with the St. Charles Regional Chamber on the date of application deadline (March 29th). Free Basic Members are eligible.
• Have been open for operational business no later than January 1, 2024.
• Have less than 50 full-time employees (two part-time employees count as one full-time employee).
