Better Health Coverage for Small Businesses

The St. Charles Regional Chamber is proud to partner with the Missouri Chamber Federation to make the Chamber Benefit Plan available to qualifying businesses throughout the St. Louis and St. Charles County region.

There’s Strength in Numbers

Small businesses often face fewer health-plan choices and higher, less predictable insurance costs than larger employers. The Chamber Benefit Plan helps address that challenge by allowing participating small businesses to join together in a larger insurance pool.

The result is access to competitive rates, dependable coverage options and the purchasing strength that comes from being part of a statewide group.

Say Hello to the Chamber Benefit Plan

The Chamber Benefit Plan is a multiple employer welfare arrangement, commonly known as a MEWA, created specifically for small businesses.

Through this innovative model, participating employers share claims risk as part of a larger, self-funded pool. This can provide small businesses with greater stability and more plan choices than they may be able to obtain on their own.

The plan is powered by the Missouri Chamber Federation and administered by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Is Your Business Eligible?

The Chamber Benefit Plan is available to qualifying employers that:

  • Are members of a participating chamber of commerce
  • Have between 2 and 50 eligible employees
  • Meet the plan’s applicable underwriting and eligibility requirements

Businesses must maintain an Investor Level membership with the St. Charles Regional Chamber to participate.

Plan Advantages

The Chamber Benefit Plan gives eligible employers access to high-quality health coverage with features that may include:

  • Competitive, medically underwritten rates
  • Fixed and predictable monthly payments
  • A variety of PPO and health savings account plan options
  • Access to Anthem provider networks
  • Stop-loss protection backed by Anthem
  • Claims run-out and terminal liability coverage
  • Simple, streamlined plan administration

Available plans, networks, rates and eligibility requirements may vary. A Chamber Benefit Plan Certified Broker can help determine which options are best suited for your business and employees.
