The Chamber is seeking engaged business and community leaders from our Investor Level membership to apply for open positions on the Board of Directors. Board members help guide the Chamber’s strategic direction, establish policy, oversee financial stewardship, and support programs and partnerships that strengthen our regional business community.
Applicants should be an Investor Level member—or employed by an Investor Level member—and demonstrate active Chamber engagement, sound judgment, community leadership, and a commitment to the Chamber’s mission and Core Values.
Board members are expected to:
- Serve a two-year term.
- Attend and actively participate in regular Board meetings.
- Review materials and come prepared to make informed decisions.
- Place the interests of the Chamber above personal or business interests.
- Maintain confidentiality and support Board decisions publicly.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Chamber and its mission.
- Support Chamber membership, programs, events, and financial sustainability.
- Respect the distinction between the Board’s governance role and the staff’s operational responsibilities.
- Uphold and model the Chamber’s Core Values:
- Open: Welcome different perspectives, encourage collaboration, and create opportunities for constructive dialogue.
- Fiscally Responsible: Exercise prudent oversight and help ensure Chamber resources are managed transparently and effectively.
- Innovative: Embrace new ideas, challenge conventions, and support thoughtful change.
- Serves Others: Champion business success and community well-being.
- Trustworthy: Act with integrity, transparency, fairness, and accountability.
- Diplomatic: Listen respectfully, seek common ground, and help foster mutually beneficial solutions.
